Too Many Connections Problem

Hello,

I'm behind a university firewall, and i'm guessing i'm not the only one using efnet IRC b/c i'm getting the too many connections line whenever i try to login now. Is there any way to add more users for our static IP? Thanks!

different servers have different I:lines (the configuration that defines how many connections are allowed per IP or network).

try different servers (listed on http://www.efnet.org/?module=servers), and if all else fails, contact the administrators of your closest IRC server and see if they can create an I:line for your university that allows more connections per IP.
