/stats y, if it's enabled for users, will show connection classes and queue size

if you are going to modify psybnc source, build in a command queue for re-attach so it only sends a /names once a second or two, rather than all at once, and it will solve your problem

this used to happen to me, and as Times said its due to /names

Try using sbnc.sourceforge.net , it has floodchecks altho i think they may have been setup to stop your excess_flooding on quakenet.

i found easynews.com and irc.shoutcast.com to have a high enough sendq to stop this
