Well behaved...

Postby Auriga » Tue Aug 05, 2003 3:31 pm

I just want to say...

Congrats everyone on all of you well behaved posters out there.
I mean..

For a forum like this.. where people can post pretty much anything, I'm amazed that there have been no flame wars or horrible run on postings...

It seems people are paying attn to Pills SUpar Dupar list of sticky rules that he made up. Kudos to Pills..

And hardy, seiki, qurve, munky, corrupt, etc...

Great job on getting this up and running..

Its workign great so far...

We havent lost anyones logins, and all the numbers seem to be consistant. No members are missing..

Ahh the good old forum days..

Just a small mid-caos congrats/thank you to the users/posters admins/moderators and expecially to the owners of efnet.org and efnet.info for donating your hard earned domains to the cause.

Woooooooo... now it's time to take over the world. :)
Lets start with .no...

Hardy.. hop to it!

Okay!!!
I nominate a commitie... of hybrid/ratbox/and comstds ircd's to get together to write an ircd called: unity

so you can all fuckign agree on somethin and then you only need one flippin code mod when changes are made or bugs are found.....
heh

cheers....
and kudos to all you loverly hard working coders from all 3 campgrounds...

Hehe. It probably won't be hard to do re-merge hybrid and ratbox, barring any hurt feelings that might have caused the spawn, or that might have been created because of the spawn in the first place. :)

Pessimists!!!!!

Actually... when it really comes down to it..
Having more then one ircd helps keep servers stable..

Think about it...

One exploit is found... then it gets around.. and all of a sudden 100% of the network is exploitable!

Yippie!!!

That's why I can see a need for at least one other type of ircd. But more co-operation between the camps could be nice...

I guess the same could be said for the boxes that the ircd's run on..
Its well known that some kind of bsd is preffered...
I'd hate to see what happens if they find some kind of major flaw in bsd...
but.. hey.. the bsd purists say it will never happen... (oh really? never?)
and I guess that's what new kernels are for..

But still.. It couldnt hurt to run a few unix or linux or solaris based servers.. could it? :)

just a thought...

Cheers..
