The admins of umich.edu are pleased to announce that the server will be opening up to the world next week. From the smallest to the biggest!

umich has an open I: for *.edu. It's a matter of filters. If Kettering is part of Michnet/Merit, it should already be allowed on.

Well, its not from a .edu. The school itself blocks common IRC ports. I would like to get an I: for the Campus Village Apartments complex that a large number of Kettering students live in. They're the next most official thing to the dorms.

Can't be done unless the filters let you in; you're probably not peered with MichNet/Merit.
