Music
I was just wondering what most people on efnet were interested in musically...
Myself, I enjoy dance music, in perticular trance... Anyone else?

I am more like a follower of Hard/Heavy Rock, but I would not go all the way to Metal. I have seldom found any Metal Bands that I like any good. But since you did not state Hard/Heavy Rock, I suppose Metal is the closest to what I listen to.
I am also a fan of much of the old Trance/Club/Techno, but the new shit is not good. Same with Rap really. I miss the old Wu-Tang Clan, NWA etc.

(yes, that means i listen to country)
i listen to swing/jazz/blues rarely, but i do enjoy it. usually i single out particular artists i don't like, not genres. but that list would be too long for here.

Re: Music
Isn't trance music a bit dangerous in some circumstances, such as raves, where the music itself may often not be distinguishable from e.g. a fire alarm?HM2K wrote:Myself, I enjoy dance music, in perticular trance... Anyone else?
No, just kidding. The question of music preference is interesting, though. I've noted that it typically takes 2-4 weeks of exposure for my brain to learn to appreciate a new music style or form (presumably this involves a learning process not dissimilar from other forms of sensory adaptation). I'm curious if that's true for others as well. After you got that initial introduction to a new music style (in the form of the odd tune that you found catchy), how long did it take before you were thoroughly involved with and appreciative of the music style itself (which, bar that one tune, you may not have found that interesting to begin with)?
