just a suggestion, because i can't seem to find a url anywhere that does it anymore, old efnet.org did but doesn't anymore...but in the serverlist perhaps add another line that shows the luser count on that particular server, so you can tell what servers are carrying a heavy load and what servers aren't, because personally i usually use servers with a lower luser count...

The new ircdb is being worked on, however, it is not up yet. That is what gave you all of the statistics on the old site.
Once it's up, the usercounts will be back.

It will eventually...........some things are still being worked out yet by the developers.

hmm....I know its not probably what youre looking for but I think there is an efnet server address that just forwards you to an efnet server that has the least amount of users?

Not that i know about tho
But the ircdb is up and working and if you click on "servers" in the menu on the main site you can sort by luser count.

on some ircd-hybrid7 / ircd-ratbox servers you can use the built-in command
"map". Try '/quote map' and it will give you a nice list.

actually, what i ran into while coding ircdB was some servers require oper status to do /map
and btw, DNS has no way of knowing luser count on a server, so you can't be sent to the server with the fewest clients. but you can use irc.ca.efnet.info, irc.us.efnet.info, and irc.eu.efnet.info to get a random server in those regions, or irc.efnet.info to get a random server in any region.

Yeah - its oper only by default. I was probably thinking about kiddies using it to pick servers to attack when I did it..

how do they redirect irc.efnet.info to any random server? is it cached as different addies in different DNSes?
