Yeah, trying to join the wrong channel can get you klined. Usually these klines are on a single server only so try another server from the list on http://www.efnet.org/?module=servers

and if that doesn't work, jump on to http://chat.efnet.org and '/stats p' to get an active oper on the server you want to join.
