Hi all, i cant seem to connect to IRC using bitchx, i keep getting "(Bad user info)" then getting disconnected. Does anyone know what im doing wrong?

Any help greatly appreciated.

These are some possibilities:

ident too short
realname / gecos too short.

a mix and match of the combination of the above with a short nickname. try adjusting or setting the realname part first.

For example:
export IRCNAME="TKZ ABCD"

then fire up BitchX.

it can also be from illegal characters in your ident

safest idents are [a-zA-Z][a-zA-Z0-9]{2,7} (that's 3-8 alphanumeric characters, with the first character being alphabetical, for you non-regexp speaking folk)
