I was wondering how one becomes a Channel OP, even when they are not the first person in the channel. My website has a dedicated channel in efnet (along with a lot of other servers too), and our bot sometimes dosn't get OPed when his connection gets reset. This has left us not being able to change title and such. Any ideas on who to talk to or anything.
Thanks people.

Do you have a router on your home network that gives you a non-routable IP (e.g. 10.* or 192.168.*)? If so, maybe your router is blocking incoming ident queries. You'll need to access the configuration of your router (most likely via http) and you'll need to find the section on port forwarding (although some routers call it a different name). Once there, you'll need to forward port 113 on the router to your computer's LAN IP.logic wrote:I went to #chanfix, and they dont recognize me becuase i dont have Identd. I red FAQs all about it, turned off Windows XP firewall, and have been reading and trying for a couple hours now. And identd still isn't working. How do i get it to work?
