help im banned and i cant figure out why

try using a specific server from the server list (http://www.efnet.org/?module=servers) rather than the round robin. without knowing which server you are banned on, we can't tell you why you were banned on that server.

"irc.efnet.org" isn't the name of a specific server on the network. It is a hostname that points to a number of servers, and each time you try to connect to that hostname, you'll be directed to a different server (each with its own policies, administrators, ban lists, etc.)

So, in order to figure out your problem, you'll need to know precisely which server you are banned on. Or, since each server has their own policies and ban lists, you could just join a different server instead and continue on chatting. You can find out what the specific names of the servers are by going to the link that munky told you... http://efnet.org/?module=servers (notice that there is no "irc.efnet.org" listed there).
