Not authorized on any efnet server.

today i attempted to logon to efnet, with no avail i get the following error:

Closing Link: 2.124.33.189 (You are not authorized to use this server)

i have tried this on 6 different servers across the network.

Most servers will not accept connections without identd; although, a few will, indicating you haven't tried them all. If you are using mIRC, try typing /identd on and see if this helps.

The most common cause is ident on Port 113 is being blocked by router or firewall. If this is the case, you need to contact the supplier of the router/firewall to find out their particular method of unblocking ident. If you're trying this from a station on a wireless network, this can be quite difficult, if even possible.

Yup im getting the exact same thing, I only noticed this morning, must have been trying to connect all night.

efnet.pl does not have any I:line that I see to allow unresolved clients (while your IP has reverse DNS, it does not have a matching forward DNS)

try another server that allows unresolved clients
