ban message?

So I discover this morning that I am apparently banned from all efnet servers. This is the message I get:

NOTICE *** Banned open wingates/install identd (2001/12/12 18.38)
[3:13pm] terath: ERROR Closing Link: CPE001839ed1199-CM001a6682e30e.cpe.net.cable.rogers.com (*** Banned )

I have no idea what an open wingate is, but I surely do not have one. My setup is a very standard router + mac/colloquy. Could someone shed some light on what could cause this?

Actually, it looks like my ident broke, perhaps this is what is causing the problem.
