Hi Folks
I am completle new at irc. So please don't consider this funny.
I tried to figure it out but: funnily it appears I am the only one having this problem! (nothing in the faq...)
OK. so here it is: I like to join watch read or whatever the channel specified by:
irc://irc.efnet.org/bt
Firefox does not seem to like this protokoll (not surprising I guess)
How do I do?
I installed GAIM, it appears to me, I successfully connected to irc.efnet.org (i am talking to a bot there I guess). But how on earth do I switch into the channel specified above? It even seems there is no channel like this.
(using the channel search I found a some channels having a name close to that.9
Well well Well.
Some delights are needed!
Your help would be apreciated a lot!

The next trouble to deal with would then be to understand what this page wants to tell me.
http://btefnet.net/guide.php
how to switch into a channel
Moderators: Website/Forum Admins, EFnet/Help Moderators
the channel specified in that URL would be #bt
It may do you well to read some documents on http://www.irchelp.org
to answer your question, type "/join #bt" (without the quotes) in the window you get when you connect to irc.efnet.org.
you may also try mIRC, which is the most popular windows irc client to date.
