irc help on a nokia 6600 o2

ive been tryin to conenct to differant efnet servers but none of them will accept my connection..are o2 connections barred from efnet? thanks

What exactly is the error? As long as your client has a valid ident and resolving hostname, MOST EFNet servers will allow the connection. irc.choopa.net and irc.prison.net also allow clients without identd and a properly resolving host, so you might want to try one of those.

make sure demon accepts connections from your subnet?

You can't connect to EFnet via WAP. I'm not that familiar with the Nokia 6600 O2, but in order to access EFnet, you need a real Internet connection. Probably a good idea to refer to your phone's manual to see if it offers direct Internet access via an ISP/gateway, or if it's WAP-only.

i have a nokia 6800 and can use virca on my phone to irc.
i rarely do it, but when i got the phone i set it all up and it worked.
i bought and exchanged 3 different cell phones becore i found one i could get irc to work on

its the first entry.

its really a pain in the ass to irc on a cell phone. my cell phone has a full keyboard and it still sucks cause you have to push so many buttons to just get connected and say HI.

but it is good to know how to do it, just in case i want to
