program freezes

When I try to log on, the program freezes and won't connect

of course, that makes mirc crash, not freeze. i don't think we can help this user until she provides us with more information

If you're using mIRC, a good idea would be updating to latest version, 6.12 which no longer causes such troubles (hopfully). It is available on http://www.mirc.com

If you are using mIRC, before you connect, type this:

/!remote off

That will disable your script, which may cause you to freeze when connecting.

i used to have that problem when i would run mIRC with ircN. i never did figure out how to fix it, but try reinstalling, that always helps
